We implement modern approaches to site assessment, sampling, and data collection, while maintaining in-house accredited laboratory services, and providing highly responsive and agile site services.

SLR's team of experienced Licensed Asbestos Assessors, Qualified Surveyors and Competent Persons are able to provide geographically and technically diverse support, from asbestos air monitoring bulk identification, surveying, asbestos and lead-based paint assessment and management, and asbestos clearance certificates.

Hazardous Materials Management Services

  • Our services include:

    • Comprehensive suspect hazardous material/containment investigation services (asbestos, lead, Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB) and universal waste)
    • Technical scoping, site supervision and air monitoring services
    • Indoor air quality (IAQ) contaminants assessment and remediation design
    • Site specific management plans including operations and maintenance programs
    • Structure condition/risk assessment
    • Critical response for emergency works (i.e. following fire/storm damage, the discovery of contaminated fill etc.)
    • Asbestos awareness and risk management training
    • Centralised online hazardous materials (HazMat) registers
    • National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) accredited reports for building material and asbestos dust samples
    • Expert witness
  • Accreditation and Licensure in Australia:

    • SLR is NATA Accredited in Australia for asbestos fibre counting, volume measurement (air), and asbestos fibre identification (accreditation number 3130)
    • SLR is NATA Accredited for identification of Asbestos in Bulk and Soil materials under AS4964
