Biography

Stephen is a Senior Wildlife Specialist with over 17 years of experience completing and managing wildlife research, inventory, assessment, management, and monitoring throughout western Canada. He is registered professionally in both a registered Alberta (P.Biol.) and British Columbia (R.P.Bio.). Stephen’s extensive experience spans the range of wildlife (amphibians, birds, mammals, and reptiles) using a variety of techniques (radiotelemetry, remote cameras, autonomous recording units [ARUs], trapping, point counts, call-playback, behavioural observations, track surveys and back-tracking). Stephen is particularly adept at developing wildlife mitigation and monitoring plans and finding creative solutions to resource development challenges to both protect wildlife and habitat and facilitate project completion.
