Eduardo Zamanillo

Biography

Eduardo is a Principal Mining Engineer at SLR and a mining executive with more than 25 years of international experience across corporate development, business development, M&A, mining strategy, project finance, technical due diligence, investment advisory, critical minerals and mine operations. A P.Eng. with an MBA, he helps mining companies, investors and strategic partners identify, evaluate, finance and grow mining assets.

His work connects deal origination, asset screening and transaction assessment with project economics, technical and operational risk, capital allocation, strategic partnerships and long-term resource security. His background combines hands-on experience in underground and open-pit operations with board-level investment and strategy work. He has been involved in major copper transactions, lithium and critical minerals strategy, lender advisory, sovereign and institutional investor mandates, and cross-border partnerships.

This operational foundation lets Eduardo assess opportunities beyond the financial model, looking at mine performance, safety, production, cost structure, technical risk, permitting and execution capacity, and whether an asset can become financeable, credible and strategically relevant.
