SLR expands senior Planning and EIA capability in Europe region

We’re delighted to be expanding our Planning and EIA capability in our Europe region with the recent appointment of Adrian French, our new Planning and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Lead for the UK Power Sector.

Adrian’s vast experience, and in particular his experience of complex planning projects, from the master planning of business parks, urban extensions and university campuses, to development proposals for renewable energy (wind and solar photovoltaics), standby generation (gas, diesel, biofuel and battery), waste management facilities, wastewater treatment schemes, quarry and port developments, will prove invaluable.

Adrian joins SLR from WYG Group, where as Director of Planning (Energy & Infrastructure) he managed planning applications and multidiscipline teams working on power and infrastructure development projects across the UK. In addition to over 20 years’ experience in consultancy Adrian has worked in local government and for a renewables development company focused on onshore wind and solar generation projects.

Adrian is a Chartered Town Planner, Chartered Resource & Waste Manager, Chartered Environmentalist and a Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying. He also a member of the National Infrastructure Planning Association (NIPA) and the Energy Managers Association (EMA). He will be based at our office in Bradford on Avon, UK.
