Addressing Sea Level rise and the continued flooding issues is the focus of a multi-million-dollar waterfront grant project awarded to the Town of Damariscotta. Wright Pierce and MMI/SLR have teamed together and been awarded the contract for engineering and design services that will address the quality of life in Town and provide them coastal resiliency from the effects of sea level rise. With a grant of $3 Million to reinforce over a $1 Million in local funding, the town will be able to protect and enhance infrastructure that has been impacted by continued flooding including the municipal parking lot, downtown businesses, pedestrian walkways and park improvements.

Project manager Mike Zarba commented “We are excited to be part of the team that will help protect the Town of Damariscotta and its’ businesses from the effects of sea level rise and continued flooding issues.”
