Tooverberg Wind Energy Facility: Grid Connection for the Tooverberg Wind Energy Facility, Touws River, Western Cape

Tooverberg Wind Energy Facility (Pty) Ltd (the Applicant) is proposing to develop the Tooverberg WEF, a 132kV power line and on-site Eskom substation to connect the WEF development to the national grid via the Kappa substation, near Touws River in the Western Cape Province.

Notice is hereby given, in terms of Conditions 12 and 13 of the EA (DFFE Ref: 14/12/16/3/3/1/1983), of the submission of the following: Final Site Layout Plan and Final Environmental Management Programme (EMPr) for the authorised Tooverberg On-site Eskom Substation and 132kV Power Line to the DFFE for final approval:

The Final Site Layout Plan and Final Environmental Management Programme (EMPr) have been made available to I&APs and stakeholders for review and comment for 30 days from 17 April 2024 – 20 May 2024.

For comments to be included in the Final Layout and EMPr prepared for decision-making purposes, they should reach SLR by no later than 20 May 2024.
