TSP - Proposed 600MW Tankatara Solar PV Plant, Gqeberha, Eastern Cape

Tankatara Solar Park (Pty) Ltd is proposing to develop a 600MW solar PV plant on Portion 1 of Farm 643 Tankatara between the Coega Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and the Sundays River. The project is being proposed as one of the renewable energy sources for a planned Green Hydrogen and Ammonia Project in the Coega SEZ and/or for other energy offtakers. The proposed project forms part of a Strategic Integrated Project (SIP20). SLR has been appointed to undertake the required Scoping and EIA process.

Note that the proposed Tankatara Solar PV project has been put on hold indefinitely.
