SLR were engaged as the traffic lead, coordinating all traffic engineering deliverables in relation to concept design and the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for a major new bypass in the West Lake Illawarra region.
Solution
Our role as a senior member of the project team included liaison across all other major disciplines, including engineering, road design and environmental assessment. Our team worked extensively with Stantec to generate future land use and traffic scenarios in TRACKS, which formed the crucial inputs to the microsimulation modelling and economic analysis that underpinned the project business case.
Impact
Our team delivered traffic modelling services valued at over $750,000 by the time of project completion and received special commendation from the client for their commitment, flexibility and quality of work delivered.
