Biography
Vicki Rybl is a life cycle assessment (LCA) practitioner and sustainability expert with more than 10 years of experience supporting organizations in the evaluation and reduction of environmental impacts across products, processes, and supply chains.
Her expertise includes life cycle assessment, environmental product declarations (EPDs), corporate greenhouse gas inventories, Scope 3 emissions quantification, embodied carbon, green building, and sustainability strategy. Vicki has worked with a diverse range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to emerging technology firms, providing technical leadership on ISO-conformant LCAs, EPD development, carbon accounting, and sustainability reporting initiatives.
Vicki strives to deliver actionable insights and to create tools that enable professionals and consumers to make climate-friendly choices. She believes that environmental transparency, driven by data, is the most effective way to decarbonize the supply chain.
Vicki also serves as an independent reviewer and verifier for environmental declarations and LCA studies, supporting conformance with ISO 14040/14044, ISO 21930, EN 15804+A2, and related industry standards.
Vicki holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, where her research with the Carbon Leadership Forum focused on embodied carbon in building materials and mechanical systems, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. She is an ACLCA Life Cycle Assessment Certified Professional (LCACP) and a LEED AP BD+C.
