Biography

Teddy has 23 years of experience in ESG in the development finance & private capital space. Teddy has worked widely in Europe and Africa. He is a Chemical Engineer (ESPCI – Paris) by background and holds an MSc in Environmental Sciences (Imperial College – London). He has carried out more than 1,000 ESG projects at large industrial facilities and SMEs. These projects were predominantly Due Diligence, but also compliance auditing, management system (development, implementation and auditing) and training.

His key sector experience includes financial institutions, agro-industry, power, infrastructure, oil & gas, mining, chemicals, manufacturing, etc. He is highly familiar with Sustainability standards (IFC-PS, WB EHS Guidelines, EP, UNPRI, VGGT, ISO 14k and OHSAS 18 k).

Teddy was one of the founding directors of IBIS Consulting, a successful Sustainable Finance advisory boutique focused on emerging markets. He started IBIS as Director in Kenya, where he was based for four years, then relocated to France to expand IBIS operations in Europe and Morocco. In late 2023, IBIS was acquired by SLRto further expand the growth of Sustainable Finance services.

Teddy is the Global Practice Director for Sustainable Finance at SLR, heading a team of +100 E&S Specialists across 5 continents. Prior to starting IBIS, Teddy spent two years as the EHS & CSR Director of Perenco in DRC, and prior to that as Partner at ERM France, where he led the M&A, Compliance, Management System and Training Practices.​
