Biography

Sophie is an Associate Process Engineer specialising in Waste Infrastructure, with significant experience across the waste and recycling sector, combining hands-on operational roles with engineering expertise. Based in the Bristol office, she brings strong technical capability alongside practical insight across the waste value chain.

She has contributed to the delivery of advanced recycling infrastructure, including the build and commissioning of an FDA/EFSA-compliant recycled polypropylene (rPP) facility. Her experience spans process design, commissioning, optimisation, and supply chain development, including feedstock sourcing, offtake agreements, specifications, and pricing structures.

Sophie has led testing programmes for AI-based sortation and food-grade compliance, improving material recovery, regulatory alignment, and product quality. She has technical expertise across polymers, films, and food-contact recyclates, including both mechanical and emerging chemical recycling technologies.
