Biography
Kate is a Chartered Minerals Surveyor with over 15 years’ post qualification experience in minerals valuation and the minerals industry. Kate has undertaken valuations in both the public and private sector and can prepare valuations for a range of purposes. She has also defended her valuations through the Valuation Tribunal and the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) acting as an Expert Witness.
Whilst working at the Valuation Office Agency, Kate gained experience in negotiating valuation of minerals assets for Inheritance Tax purposes and Capital Gains Tax purposes and the negotiation of royalty rates.
Kate provides mineral estate management services to a range of clients including private landowners, government bodies and mineral operators, including providing mineral’s estate management services to the Isle of Man Government and the Forestry Commission England. She also has experience with the day to day management of minerals assets on behalf of the landlord including negotiation of Heads of Terms for minerals leases.
