Biography
Jane is a Chartered Minerals Surveyor with over 30 years’ post-qualification experience in the minerals and waste industries and is Crown Mineral Agent and Mineral Agent for Crown Estate Scotland.
Jane provides mineral estates services across the UK and has a thorough understanding of the minerals industry and its various market sectors, relevant regulations and commercial factors affecting the sector. Clients include public sector bodies, private landowners, utility companies, developers and mineral operators. She is a recognised specialist in mineral property management, negotiation of mineral and waste management agreements and the valuation of mineral and waste management assets and has acted as an expert witness. Jane is experienced providing a full range of other mineral consultancy services including ownership of mines and minerals; evaluation and development of mineral resources; restoration and bonding arrangements; compensation for sterilisation of minerals and Mining Code claims; Town and Country Planning matters; and advice on minerals, waste and environmental legislation.
She manages a UK wide portfolio of mineral assets on behalf of landowners. This involves the effective management of a range of mineral operations including surface coal mines, dimension stone quarries, aggregates / construction minerals, metalliferous and industrial minerals. Jane provides similar services in relation to waste management operations.
