Biography
Greg is based in our Brisbane office and has been a Principal consultant since 2010 and has 20 years mining sector consulting experience working on metalliferous and coal, open pit and underground mining projects in Australia, China, Fiji, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Romania Solomon Islands and Vietnam. His PhD in geochemical engineering integrated soil science, geochemical assessment and terrestrial ecotoxicological assessment of flora and soil biota with soil cover system designs for waste rock and tailings storage facilities.
His technical skill sets are grounded in geochemical assessment to characterise mine waste and rehabilitation materials, but those geochemical skill sets are integrated with surface water and ground water assessment and management.
Greg is routinely called on to present to client stakeholders to facilitate environmental approvals and has worked in an owners engineer role to manage complex environmental projects or works directly for State and Commonwealth departments providing environmental, technical, and financial assurance advice on mine closure projects.
