Biography
Angela leads SLR’s Sustainable Finance Practice in East Africa, where she is responsible for successfully delivering on the Sustainable Finance strategy for clients investing across SSA.
Her expertise covers the entire suite of pre-investment ESG-focused activities (ESDD, E&S audits), E&S implementation support (E&S CPs/ CSs close-out, ESMS development, training/ capacity building), periodic monitoring as well as Exit E&S audits.
Angela’s sectoral experience is wide and includes financial services, power (renewables and thermal), healthcare, education, medium to large-scale infrastructure (roads, railways, water supply and sanitation), FMCG, digital infrastructure and agroforestry/ agriculture.
Key accomplishments include successfully leading diverse teams (internal and external) towards implementing projects of various sizes, sectors and geographies (including multi-country) while providing mentorship/ guidance and nurturing talent.
Angela is registered with Kenya’s National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) and the Environment Institute of Kenya as a Lead EIA Expert. She is a native English and Kiswahili speaker.
