SLR was delighted to be awarded the ‘Supplier to the Chemical Industry 2021’ at the Chemicals Northwest Awards, which were delivered virtually on 25th of March 2021.

The award was sponsored by the Chemical Industries Association, the organisation representing and advising chemical and pharmaceutical companies located across the UK.

The Supplier to the Chemical Industry award recognises our contribution to sustainable skills development within the sector, promoting workforce development, organisational competence, and knowledge management by disseminating best practice across the whole industry.

In recent years we have recognised there have been challenges within the chemicals industry with businesses facing tough decisions on resourcing and the necessity of developing and implementing robust systems of work to avoid major accident hazards that are heavily scrutinised by the Competent Authority. Our solution to helping the chemicals industry through these challenges is to continuously supply a wealth of key information and guidance to our clients and operating companies, through hosting regular webinars and training courses, via our virtual learning environment (VLE).

SLR is a proud supporter and active member of Chemicals Northwest – the UK’s largest industry-led organisation for the chemical sector. Read more about the organisation and this year’s awards on the Chemicals Northwest website.
