SLR welcomes new Sector Lead for Power in Europe

We are very pleased to welcome Lauren Wheatley to SLR in her new role as our European Sector Lead for Power. Lauren will be based in our Stirling office in Scotland, UK.

Lauren began her career in consultancy before moving on to a global independent power company, managing the wind analysis within their EMEA wind portfolio. From there she joined Natural Power, a privately owned, renewable energy consultancy, leading their Northern European, UK and Ireland wind analysis team. Notably she was included in A Word About Wind’s 2017 Women’s Power List, honouring the contribution of women in the wind industry.

Her most recent role for Natural Power, was as their Director of Advisory and Analytics. She was responsible for the leadership and management of the Advisory and Analytics business unit and part of the Senior Management Team. She developed the strategy and focused business plans, on sustainable growth in core markets and supported the diversification of their client base. For the past two years Lauren had concurrently served as an Executive Board Member of a joint venture between Natural Power and OREC (Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult).

Regarding Lauren’s appointment European Regional Manager, Alan Edwards, commented:
