SLR joins the Electric Power Research Institute's Climate READi Program

SLR is excited to announce its participation in the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Climate READi Program as an Affinity Group Member.

About EPRI

EPRI is an independent non-profit energy research, development, and deployment organization with a presence in more than a dozen countries in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

About the Climate READi Program

The Climate READi Affinity Group includes leading experts from academia, consulting, finance and insurance institutions, non-governmental organizations, national labs, regulators and governments. The Group works to leverage its collective expertise to address critical challenges related to climate resilience and adaptation planning for the energy sector.

Program sponsors include sector-leading energy firms and utilities based in North America, several of which are current SLR clients.

The Climate READi Program includes three technical workstreams and two topic groups:

  • Workstream 1 – Physical Climate Data and Guidance
  • Workstream 2 – Energy System & Asset Vulnerability Assessment
  • Workstream 3 – Resilience and Adaptation Planning and Prioritization
  • Topic Group 1 – Equity and Climate Justice
  • Topic Group 2 – Climate Disclosure

SLR brings its experience in climate change data processing and modeling, asset and system vulnerability assessment, risk reduction and climate resilience, and environmental justice to provide expert insight across all working groups and topic areas. SLR’s sees the partnership as an opportunity to help lead and develop climate resilient and sustainable solutions for the energy sector.

We look forward to integrating ourselves into these working groups and collaborating with our peers to strengthen our collective approach to climate risk.
