SLR’s work with Athletic Brewing Company continues as their new brewery in Milford, Connecticut gets closer to completion. Athletic Brewing is the world’s largest producer of non-alcoholic beer and currently controls about 50% of the market. The new Milford brewery will be the largest brewery in Connecticut and is intended to supply eastern United States and Europe. When complete and at full production, the facility will produce 450,000 beer barrels (bbls) per year. The new high-speed canning line is expected to generate 400-plus cans per minute.

SLR’s work for Athletic Brewing continues to expand, and has included remediation, hazardous material removal, discharge permitting, discharge limit negotiation, preliminary treatment concept design, and utility, geotechnical and site design. Over the next several months, our team will continue to provide discharge permitting support for Athletic.

“SLR is thrilled to work alongside project architect Silver Petrucelli + Associates and general contractor Signature Construction Group in helping Athletic Brewing Co achieve their goal of transforming a former industrial facility into a state-of-the-art brewing facility.” noted Principal Consultant Scott Bristol.

Completion is slated for July 2022, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony planned in the summer with an expected visit by the Governor of Connecticut to help celebrate the opening of the completed brewery.

Special thank you to all who are part of the project: Athletic Brewing CompanySilver Petrucelli + Associates, and Signature Construction Group
