
SLR expands ecology expertise in the InterMountain Region

SLR is pleased to announce Rick Black will be joining our Environmental Compliance and Permitting Team. With an MS in Wildlife Ecology and continued PhD studies in Physiological Plant Ecology along with his decades of agency coordination, Rick will bring exceptional expertise to help identify and properly assess avoidance of, or mitigation for impacts to sensitive natural resources.
Rick brings over 30 years of ecological research and consulting experience with expertise in wetland delineation, threatened and endangered species assessment, and biological species monitoring and NEPA management. Regulatory expertise includes guiding clients through a wide range of permitting issues including NEPA assessments and compliance with USACE, BLM, NPS, USFS, State Historical Preservation Offices (SHPO), USFWS, Departments of Wildlife and U.S. Department of Defence (DoD) regulations.
Rick has national experience with a focus in the Intermountain West region of the US, supporting clients in a wide range of business sectors including Power, Mining, Infrastructure, Energy, Transportation, and Industry.
