SLR's Jamie Robinson and Peter Kinghan have recently been developing a methodology to assess the chemistry of soil and surface water using drone mounted hyperspectral sensors. With a focus on how to provide rapid coverage and greater accuracy across industrialised sites ranging from mines to landfills, their methodology also has applications in the archaeological, geotechnical and ecological fields.

The Journal of Geological Resource and Engineering has recently published Jamie and Peter’s paper titled ‘Using Drone Based Hyperspectral Analysis to Characterise the Geochemistry of Soil and Water’. We’re able to share the full paper with you, which you can read via this link:http://www.davidpublisher.org/Public/uploads/Contribute/5b85fc7678c9e.pdf
