We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the acquisition of Palmer Environmental Consulting Group Inc. (Palmer) by SLR Consulting (Canada) Ltd.

The strategic acquisition of Palmer significantly enhances SLR's capacity to support clients and is a milestone in our ongoing strategy to broaden and diversify the services and technical proficiency of our teams across Canada.

Palmer, a Canadian environmental consultancy with approximately 100 team members located predominantly in British Columbia and Ontario, is known for its commitment to clients and value-driven approach, offering technically advanced solutions to tackle environmental and regulatory hurdles, as well as meeting project development objectives. Palmer’s extensive service portfolio encompasses fisheries, aquatic and terrestrial ecology, hydrogeology, water resources, geology, geomorphology, and geotechnical engineering, tailored to serve the needs of the mining, infrastructure, and land development sectors throughout Canada.

Bradley Andrews, SLR Chief Executive Officer, said, “We are pleased to bring Palmer into the SLR fold to grow our presence across Canada. With Palmer’s reputation as a leading ecological and environmental consultancy, we are confident that this collaboration will enhance SLR’s sustainability offering and drive more positive outcomes for our clients. I would like to thank all of those who were involved in the acquisition and look forward to the company's continued growth and success.”

Craig Johnston, SLR's Regional Manager, said, "I have had the pleasure of working with and getting to know the Palmer team over the years, and I am excited to welcome them to the SLR family. We share common visions and values for our teams, and how we work with our clients to deliver value-based solutions and build trusted partnerships."

Palmer's founder, Rick Palmer, added, "We are excited to be part of the SLR team. Palmer's core values include caring about our clients and fostering a strong team culture based on autonomy and solving challenging problems. I feel like we have found a partner company in SLR that aligns very well with those values. Together with SLR's broad range of services and geographical reach, we can provide additional opportunities to our growing team and continue to support our clients across Canada."

This acquisition marks the beginning of significant growth for SLR by bringing together two industry leaders.
