William Paddock

Biography

William Paddock is a recognized global leader in product sustainability, life cycle assessment (LCA), and environmental data strategy. For more than 20 years, he has helped manufacturers and global brands use sustainability as a competitive advantage by integrating environmental performance into product development, supply chains, innovation, and commercial strategy. William specializes in Product Carbon Footprints (PCFs), Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), embodied carbon, chemical management, product transparency, Scope 3 emissions, and digital sustainability solutions that enable organizations to manage environmental data at an enterprise scale. His work has supported hundreds of thousands of LCAs, EPDs, and product sustainability disclosures across some of the world's largest manufacturing organizations, while helping shape the next generation of digital product sustainability platforms and machine-readable environmental data standards.

In addition to advising multinational companies across the building products, healthcare, chemicals, industrial manufacturing, consumer goods, and technology sectors, William actively contributes to the advancement of global sustainability standards. He serves on the Joint Working Group between ISO and the GHG Protocol focused on Scope 3 emissions, is a Founding Member of the Partnership for Life Cycle Data, is an active contributor to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) CLEAR Initiative, and is a member of the UNEP Life Cycle Initiative. A frequent speaker and advisor to industry leaders, William is known for connecting deep technical expertise with practical business strategy, helping organizations navigate evolving regulations, customer expectations, and market demands while building scalable product sustainability programs that create measurable business value.
