Celebrating International Women’s Day 2021

In honour of International Women’s Day, we wanted to highlight women from around the world in the environmental consulting industry, celebrating their ongoing accomplishments from work, to home, to their communities.

We've pulled together a video showing off lots of the wonderful women who work at SLR which you can view on our LinkedIn page.

Profiled in the video are:

• Claudia Bucking - Marketing Manager for Africa, showing supporting her local community during the pandemic
• Adrienne Schmall - Environmental Scienctist in Canda carrying out groundwater monitoring
• Ashton Gainsford - Consultant in New Zealand monitoring salmon farms in the Malborough Sounds
• Rachel Kane - Geologist in the US air monitoring a site in Washington
• Braiya White - completing a research project for her Graduate Certificate in Maritime Studies
• Rona McCann - Ecologist in Scotland conducting a kick sample for analysis of species diversity
• Lauriane Gay - French Environmental and Social Consultant working with a community focus group in Uganda
• Natasha Cokar, Halyer Nosworthy and Maria Kudienko in Canada, all excelling at working on their specialisms from home
• Emma Woods and Celine Dufour - New Zealand Consultants from the Marine Science team water sampling
• Leslie Cook Wong - Sustainable Consulting Leader in the US taking part in helicopter underwater escape training

These are only a small percentage of the women who make up the SLR team, and we'd like to take today to recognise and thank each of them.
