SLR’s Senior Principal Mining Engineer, Grant Malensek, will be presenting at SME Annual Conference and Expo in Denver, Colorado on Tuesday, February 28 at 4 PM MST. His presentation is entitled ‘Gold Property Transaction Values by Development Stage’. SLR has updated its study on market transactions globally from 2012 to 2021 for producing and non-producing gold properties containing mineral resources and mineral reserves. This presentation will illustrate variances in $/oz values for non-producing properties by development stage (exploration, scoping, pre-feasibility, and feasibility) over the last decade.
Grant will also be presenting on the “Survey of S-K 1300 TRS Filing Strategies” on Wednesday, March 1 at 4 PM MST. The new U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) modernization drive of S-K 1300 went into effect on January 1, 2021. Since that time, SLR Consulting Inc have conducted an analysis of the S-K 1300 Technical Report Summaries (TRS) filed on EDGAR website. This presentation is intended to give an overview of how various filers/authors have interpreted the new guidelines, how they differ in their filings with respect to, but not limited to, whether to list Qualified Person(s) on the TRS, the level of technical detail presented in the TRS by reporting entity, and life of mine economics.
Richard Lambert, U.S. Mining Advisory technical director, has been selected as the 2023 recipient of the William L. Saunders Gold Medal from the SME William L. Saunders Award Committee and the Mining & Exploration Division Executive Committee. The award recognizes distinguished achievements in mining other than coal. The following citation is prepared in Rick’s honor: In recognition of his extensive experience and contributions to metal mining in all major commodities in a variety of projects worldwide. Rick will be presented the award on March 1st, 2023.
