Biography
Katie is an Associate Director, leading the delivery of health, equality, and socio-economic impact assessments at SLR. With over a decade of experience in environmental consultancy, she has led Health Impact Assessments (HIAs), health chapters of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Equality Impact Assessments (EqIAs), and socio-economic assessments for a diverse range of projects across the transport, residential, mining, and renewable energy sectors.
Katie has extensive experience supporting major infrastructure projects and Development Consent Order (DCO) applications, helping clients identify, assess and mitigate potential health and social impacts while maximising opportunities to deliver positive health, wellbeing and social value outcomes.
Katie also specialises in Sustainability Appraisals (SA) and Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA), having led and contributed to a wide range of assessments for local and regional transport plans, local development plans, and national strategies. Her work spans both terrestrial and marine environments, with a strong focus on integrating health and equality considerations into strategic planning.
