Biography
Jean-Louis is a process engineer with over 10+ years of experience in mine backfill and tailings management. He progressed from being a laboratory technician, where he gained firsthand knowledge of material properties and how these impact tailings dewatering, achievable strengths, and material handleability, to becoming a process specialist and project manager.
In these multiple roles, he performed a wide range of dewatering and backfill test work, process design, procurement, project management, and commissioning in cemented rock fill, hydraulic fill, paste fill (live tailings and reclaimed tailings plants), paste aggregate fill, thickened disposal plants, and dry stacking plants projects.
