Derek Riehm joins our Mining and Minerals team

We are excited to announce that Derek Riehm has joined SLR as a Principal Consultant leading Environmental Advisory Services in the Mining and Minerals team.
Derek brings 30 years of experience as a senior, bilingual mining industry executive in consulting, operating and corporate environments with exposure to projects worldwide in a diverse range of environmental, social and regulatory settings. Derek has expertise in environment, social and governance (ESG) and has managed the design and implementation of multiple Health, Safety, Environment & Community (HSEC) management systems. He has provided strategic oversight and management support on environmental permitting processes, sustainability reporting, due diligence assessments, auditing, reclamation and closure planning.
Previously, Derek has worked in corporate roles at Teck Corporation, Barrick Gold and Lundin Mining with operations and development projects around the globe.
