Biography

Garrett has 10+ years of experience in metallurgical laboratory management and testing in the mining industry, specializing in designing and executing metallurgical test work and optimizing recovery processes. His experience includes agitation and bottle roll leaching, column leaching, VAT and diffusion testing, flotation, comminution, geotechnical testing, analytical chemistry, and environmental compliance.

Garrett leads laboratory operations, including project scheduling, staffing, budgeting, and QA/QC systems development, while managing complex testing programs to support engineering studies and operational decision-making. He has developed and implemented laboratory methodologies, SOPs, and quality systems that improve data reliability and expand testing capabilities.

Garrett’s recent work includes leading research and development initiatives focused on recovery optimization, reagent evaluation, and process chemistry, as well as designing customized testing programs to evaluate extraction and flotation strategies for a range of ore types. He collaborates closely with clients and engineering teams to translate laboratory data into practical, scalable process recommendations and supports environmental compliance through management of hazardous materials, waste programs, and permitting activities.
