Matthew Willies

Biography

Matthew is SLR’s Chief Financial Officer, responsible for leading the company’s global financial strategy and supporting its continued growth. Having joined SLR in 2024 to lead the global mergers and acquisitions function, Matt brings extensive financial, commercial and strategic expertise, alongside a deep understanding of the business developed through his long-standing relationship with SLR. Prior to his permanent appointment as CFO, Matt served as Interim CFO, helping to guide the business through a period of continued expansion.

Prior to joining SLR, Matthew spent his career in professional services, most recently as a Partner in KPMG’s Deal Advisory business, where he supported corporate and private equity clients, including SLR, on a broad range of M&A transactions globally.

Matthew is a qualified chartered accountant and has a degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of York.
