Biography

Jessica Edwards has over 19 years’ experience in social research and community participation processes. She holds a Master’s Degree in Environment and Society from the University of Pretoria and has extensive experience in conducting social related impact assessments for mining, infrastructure and residential development projects. Jessica assists clients in developing and updating social development plans and identifying viable local economic development projects with local government stakeholders. She has designed and managed public participation programmes in several countries and has undertaken social due diligence audits, competent persons reports and Resettlement Action Plans to Good International Industry Practice standards such as the International Finance Corporation. Jessica is passionate about social transition post mining and is actively working to create awareness in this space.
