Biography

James is currently based in our Wellington office and is an Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ) Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP SC) and has been an environmental professional, specialising in environmental management and contaminated land for over 17 years.

With experience in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, he has a broad range of experience in environmental management, including compliance and environmental management, project management, contaminated land, groundwater assessment and remediation, landfill monitoring, assessment and redevelopment, environmental due diligence (including transactional and advisory services), groundwater monitoring and hydrogeological investigation, soil vapour investigation and assessment, human health and environmental risk assessment, consent application and technical peer review, and regulatory authority liaison.

James’ experience in contaminated sites and environmental management extends across many industry sectors, including infrastructure providers, multi-national oil and gas companies, local authorities, State, Federal, and Local Government, private property developers, and regulators.

A proven professional and leader, James specialises in providing pragmatic advice to address a client’s environmental obligations, with a key focus on achieving sustainable solutions and mutually beneficial outcomes for all stakeholders.
