SLR is pleased to announce our membership to the Energy Transitions Commission (ETC), the global coalition of leaders from across the energy landscape committed to achieving Net-Zero emissions, in line with the Paris climate agreement of limiting global warming to well below 2°C and ideally to 1.5°C.

ETC members come from a range of organisations – energy producers, energy-intensive industries, technology providers, finance players and environmental NGOs – which operate across developed and developing countries and play different roles in the energy transition.

“I’m pleased to have rejoined the commission in my new role as CEO at SLR. This membership signals our commitment to supporting businesses and helping society transition to a low-carbon economy through robust social, environmental and economic science. The transition of our energy sources to a low-carbon system is a hugely complex challenge no one organisation can solve on its own. Through the leadership and innovation of the Commission’s members, I believe we can collaboratively make that shift sooner, and at speed.”

Bradley Andrews, CEO at SLR

Established in 2016, the ETC has been driving global impact to help inform countries and companies of the technological and economical feasibility of achieving zero-carbon emissions by mid-century and by providing evidence-based analysis to the public debate [1].
