Tim Colles

Biography

Tim is a Director heading up SLR’s Transport Planning team in the Birmingham (UK) office. He is a Civil Engineer with a background in transport planning, traffic engineering and multidisciplinary project management for a wide range of schemes. He has worked as a consultant for over 20 years and has gained considerable experience throughout the UK and Middle East.

Tim has undertaken a wide range of projects, from small housing schemes to nationally significant transport schemes. This includes residential, employment, retail, sport, healthcare, education, and defence projects, which have been undertaken for developers, housebuilders, in the private sector, and a range of public sector organisations.

Through this experience, Tim has gained a detailed understanding of design standards, guidance, and best practice. He understands the requirements of his clients and also the regulatory authorities and is able to identify appropriate, innovative, and deliverable solutions that are acceptable to all parties. As a result of Tim’s in-depth knowledge and experience, he has been Expert Witness at a wide range of examinations, hearings, and inquiries.
