Is your organisation ready for mandatory climate reporting in 2026?

With Australia’s new sustainability reporting now underway, the countdown has begun for Group 2 reporters. What may feel like a future compliance task is fast becoming a near-term business priority.

Join our webinar for an introduction to ASRS for Group 2 reporters. Our Climate & Nature Advisory specialist will provide a clear understanding of what’s changing, why it matters, and what you need to know going forward.

From 1 January 2025, the first reporting year for mandatory climate reporting in Australia began for large corporations under the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS).

From 1 July 2026, these same requirements will kick in for the second group of reporters. This group includes companies with >250 employees, >$500m in assets or >$200m in annual revenue. It also captures any NGERs reporting entities that weren’t already caught in group 1.

* Reporting for NGER’s reporting entities that reach the publication threshold (currently 50,000tCO2e). NGER’s reporting entities who do not meet the publication threshold, or any of the entity size criteria, will report in Group 2.
