  • Kwesi Brown Manager of Transportation Engineering
    Kwesi Brown

    Kwesi manages the transportation engineering group within SLR and provides oversight on highway, bridge, traffic signal systems, and multi-modal transportation projects. He has 20 years of experience in the transportation engineering industry and has managed several of the company’s high-profile transportation projects. His expertise ranges from highway design, traffic signal and communication systems, traffic and access management, corridor planning, interchange and ramp studies, transit and multi-modal transportation facility planning and design. He has worked extensively with federal, regional, state, local and private sector clients.

  • Shelley Plude Associate Transportation Engineer
    Shelley Plude

    Shelley serves as the bridge design lead within the transportation engineering group and is responsible for performing designs for a wide range of structures, in addition to bridge load ratings for bridge projects. She also handles the development of plans, specifications, and estimates as well as day-to-day project management and client/liaison coordination. Due to the interdisciplinary approach taken toward each project, she often works with engineers of different disciplines, from geotechnical to water resources, to examine how a structure will work with its surroundings. With a lifelong interest in math and science, structural engineering was a natural fit for Shelley, to blend her technical interests with creativity and problem-solving.

  • Michael Joyce Principal Transportation Engineer
    Michael Joyce

    Mike is the branch manager of the firm’s Springfield, Massachusetts office and offers 25 years of design, permitting, and project management expertise across a wide spectrum of SLR's practise areas in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and other regional locations. His approach to satisfying roadway, traffic, drainage, rights-of-way, and other requirements related to transportation infrastructure projects is driven by his desire to help find solutions while effectively leveraging his experience with municipal planning and engineering and specialised institutional and private site development. Mike is closely involved with SLR’s roadway, traffic, transit, bikeway, and other multi-modal transportation projects, which receive state and federal funding including all MAP-21 funding programmes.

  • John Adams Principal Transportation Engineer
    John Adams

    John heads SLR’s branch office in Portland, Maine and brings with him 25 years on experience that includes roadway and intersection design, traffic signal design and coordination, design of signal system communications architecture, operation of traffic signal systems via signal management software, and traffic impact safety and planning studies. John provides project management and senior oversight on several of the firm’s transportation projects in the northeast. John’s passion is collaborating and designing transportation networks utilising advanced communication and traffic management technology.
