Kuduskop Wind Farm (Pty) Ltd - Basic Assessment for the proposed upgrade of a main access road and the development of a construction camp and operations and maintenance building for the Kuduskop Wind Energy Facility (WEF), Karoo Hoogland Local Municipality, Northern Cape.

Status

Notice is hereby given that Kuduskop Wind Farm (Pty) Ltd (Kuduskop) was granted Environmental Authorisation on 13 February 2026 for the above-mentioned project in terms of the National Environment Management Act, 1998(No. 107 of 1998) (NEMA) and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations 2014 (as amended).

A copy of the DAEARDLR’s decision and the reasons for such decision is provided. Should you wish to lodge an appeal against the decision in terms of the National Appeals Regulations, 2014 (as amended), you are referred to Chapter 2 of the NEMA National Appeal Regulations published under Government Notice R993 in Government Gazette No. 38303 dated 8 December 2014 (National Appeal regulations, 2014), which prescribes the appeal procedure to be followed. Should any person wish to appeal against the decision, they must submit the appeal to the appeal administrator and a copy of the appeal to the Applicant, any registered interested and affected party, and any organ of state with interest in the matter within twenty (20) days from the date that the notification of the decision was sent to the registered interested and affected parties by the applicant (i.e. within 20 days from 13 February 2026 - appeal period ends 6 March 2026).
