Major door manufacturer facility compliance

Challenge

SLR assisted a major door and window manufacturer with manufacturing facility compliance, environmental assessment and remediation, property acquisitions, and regulatory negotiations at numerous properties around the country. SLR assisted this client with the closure of a manufacturing facility and redevelopment of the property located on the Puget Sound waterfront. The client's vision is to convert this 70-acre Brownfields site into a waterfront community with public and private amenities.

Solution

SLR completed remedial investigations of the many historical chemical usage areas and the adjacent sediments and has identified upland soil and groundwater impacts encompassing an area of approximately two acres.

Impact

SLR conducted a feasibility study to develop and evaluate remedial alternatives.
