Sean O'Brien

Biography

Sean is an Associate Consultant within SLR’s Environment Management, Permitting and Compliance team and has over 12 years' experience in the waste management regulations' permitting and compliance sector.

Sean has a background in environmental permitting and compliance assessment at quarry restoration and landfill sites across England, Wales, and Scotland. He has been involved in a large variety of projects and has experience of working on and project managing complex environmental permit applications. This includes those for waste management facilities, industrial installations, data centres, and water discharge activities.

As part of these projects, Sean is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the processes, including coordinating SLR’s multidisciplinary teams to incorporate timely collection and assessment of environmental monitoring data, detailing complex operating techniques and compilation of the full permit application.

Sean is also able to assist with environmental permit compliance monitoring data analysis, environmental permit and management system compliance auditing, and landfill environmental management plan compilation.
