Biography

Mark is a Chartered Minerals Surveyor with over 20 years’ experience in the minerals and waste industries. He provides mineral estates services throughout the UK and has extensive knowledge of the minerals industry. His clients include private landowners, government bodies, utility companies, and mineral operators. Mark is recognised as a specialist in the negotiation of mineral and waste management agreements, minerals management, the valuation of mineral and waste management assets, the ownership of mines and minerals, compensation for sterilisation of minerals and mining code claims, and the calculation of restoration costs and bonding arrangements.

Mark provides a full range of other mineral consultancy services and manages a portfolio of mineral assets on behalf of landowners across a range of mineral operations within the UK. He has successfully negotiated landlords’ positions on rent reviews, compulsory purchase claims, mineral title and sterilisation claims, mineral tenders, and has represented landlord clients at the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber).
