Debbie Kovacs

Biography

Debbie Kovacs is a regulatory professional with over 20 years of experience in Alberta’s electricity market. She has prepared both AUC Rule 007 NID and Facility Applications and managed the regulatory process and oral hearings for some of the biggest electrical projects in the province. Debbie is adept at writing high quality AUC applications, ensuring compliance with all legislation and AESO and AUC rules and standards. She has an exceptional track record for identifying compliance obligations from all regulatory bodies and determining regulatory strategy, including oversight of technical, environmental, and engagement programs. Debbie has been an industry participant for AESO matters and AUC focus groups to affect regulatory policy change and updates to AUC Rule 007.
