SLR is pleased to announce changes to our client offering as we strengthen our Planning & Development Consultancy and Environmental & Social Impact services in Europe. Elle Cass is stepping into a new role as Head of Strategic Built Environment Growth for Planning, ESIA and Development Consulting (Europe). Elle will be focusing on clients and growth opportunities in these areas, which is supported by recent recruitment across various related technical disciplines. Notably, over the last 18 months we have recruited more than 40 people to support these objectives and are actively seeking ambitious planning professionals to continue this growth.

Our continued commitment to recruitment and cross sector working has meant that we have attracted market leading talent throughout recent challenging times, and now have over 2,500 consultants working globally.

Elle’s move to this new role also provides the opportunity to restructure our Planning & Development Consultancy and Environmental & Social Impact teams into one integrated single technical discipline. This new ‘super team’ will create a combined ‘planning & EIA’ offer with extensive cross sector experience in all aspects of project delivery with expertise in the Built Environment, Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, Minerals and Waste Sectors. The breadth of knowledge and experience this brings together, and the proven track record in problem solving and delivery, provides our existing and new clients with enhanced access to joined up solutions, supported by our full offering of environmental and sustainability services. The combined offering brings SLR’s European Planning & ESIA team to more than 90 general practice and specialist consultants. The new combined team will be led by Alan Mitchell, who currently leads the regional Environmental & Social Impact Assessment team.

If you are a client looking for help with an existing or future development project, we would be delighted to discuss how the team might be able to help and tailor advice. This could be with discreet planning advice or by project managing a full range of technical disciplines to deliver your project.

We would also like to hear from you if you are a planning professional looking for a new challenge in a rapidly growing multi-disciplinary consultancy environment, which provides the opportunity to gain experience and practice in all aspects of Planning Consultancy, ESIA and Project Management.
