SLR and Waterise form strategic partnership to deliver sustainable water solutions

SLR and Waterise are pleased to announce a strategic partnership that brings together SLR’s environmental consultancy expertise with Waterise’s innovative subsea desalination technology. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to addressing growing global water challenges.
Waterise has developed a patented subsea reverse osmosis (RO) system that operates at depths of up to 600 metres. By using hydrostatic pressure and high-quality feed water found at depth, the system significantly reduces energy use, CO₂ emissions, environmental impact and land footprint compared to traditional land-based desalination. Waterise’s modular system can produce up to 50,000 cubic metres of potable water per day per plant, supporting municipal, industrial, and agricultural needs in water-stressed regions.
