View ReportThis year’s report marks a significant milestone in our sustainability journey. It introduces the results of our first Double Materiality Assessment, a comprehensive evaluation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) topics from both internal and external perspectives. This assessment is informing a refreshed sustainability strategy that aligns with our mission of Making Sustainability Happen.
In his welcome message, SLR’s CEO Bradley Andrews, emphasises that “sustainability is no longer discretionary” and highlights how it is now deeply embedded across all facets of our business - from finance and operations to legal and culture. “SLR exists to help our clients navigate complexity and act with confidence. By balancing environmental, social, and economic priorities, we contribute to systems that endure - creating lasting value for our clients, communities, and the planet.”
Key highlights from the 2024 report include:
- Validation of our science-based emissions reduction target, reinforcing our commitment to climate action.
- Completion of our first Climate Scenario Analysis and Risk and Opportunity Assessment, with plans to expand this to include nature-related outcomes.
- Launch of a company-wide business transformation programme, aimed at streamlining operations and enhancing client and employee experiences.
- Strategic growth through acquisitions, strengthening our expertise and expanding our presence in responsible finance.
- Preparation for future regulatory compliance, including the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the UK’s Climate-related Financial Disclosure (CFD) requirements.
While SLR is not yet subject to mandatory sustainability reporting, we have proactively aligned our practices with emerging standards to ensure readiness and transparency.
The report also celebrates the dedication of our global team. Our ‘One Team’ culture of fairness and inclusion remains a cornerstone of our success, and we continue to uphold policies that promote equity and diversity.
We invite all stakeholders to explore the full report and share their feedback with our Head of Sustainability, Sarah Gillett, at sustainability@slrconsulting.com.
