George Douthwaite

Biography

George has 25 years’ experience working in the energy sector, and works within the Energy Advisory team at SLR.

Previously George had various roles in both IT, spanning most of the full product lifecycle, and in industry within the financial services, medical and engineering sectors.

Within the energy sector he has been a team manager, Demand Forecaster and most recently a lead in non commodity charges and regulation. He attended various CUSC working groups, starting in 2013, and was a member of the BSUoS taskforce. The emphasis of his work within the supply industry was in managing risk where risk level modelling and Monte Carlo techniques were applied. His focus now is on the generator charges, and modelling now focuses on the load flows over the GB network for both TNUoS and Transmission losses.
