We are pleased to announce that Chris Snyder has joined SLR to support the continued growth of our Sustainable Finance Advisory services. In this role, Chris will lead SLR’s team in Canada supporting financial institutions as they continue to adopt more sustainable and responsible strategies in their credit and investment portfolios.

Chris has over 30 years of work experience in consulting and the financial sector. His experience includes advising financial institutions in assessment, and development and implementation of sustainability and decarbonization strategies. Chris has provided M&A advisory services to investors for clean and climate transition assets, technologies and portfolios.

He led the Environmental team at a major bank for over a decade, overseeing environmental and social risk management. In this capacity, Chris supported the bank’s divisions on sustainable finance and sustainability integration. He engaged with large corporate clients to assess their sustainability and climate performance, including the application of the Equator Principles (EPs) for non-recourse financing for large-scale infrastructure projects globally. Chris was also an active participant in the EP Association. His team provided senior advisory on credit and reputation risk issues related to environmental and social matters.
