We are pleased to welcome Mark van der Woerd to SLR as Power Sector Lead, Canada.

Mark brings a long-standing track record as a sector lead and client account manager within the energy sector. He has consistently aligned multidisciplinary teams with client priorities, strengthened delivery performance, and built lasting relationships grounded in collaboration. He is also a seasoned environmental professional with two decades of experience supporting complex energy projects through regulatory strategy, permitting, and stakeholder engagement across renewable energy, transmission, and midstream pipeline development. His work has spanned jurisdictions across North America, giving him a deep understanding of regional regulatory environments and the evolving needs of power and energy clients.

Mark’s role is centered on being a strategic partner with power sector clients and ensuring SLR’s teams are aligned with client priorities. He brings a strong passion for energy development and will help drive our Power Sector strategy while strengthening key client relationships in Canada and abroad. Mark will continue to support permitting and approvals for major power and energy clients.
