Expanding our regulatory expertise in Power

We are delighted to announce that Debbie Kovacs has joined SLR as a Senior Regulatory Lead in the Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) team. She will work with the SLR team to expand our power services and client portfolio across Canada.

Debbie brings over 23 years of experience in regulatory and permitting to SLR including a wealth of regulatory experience with Alberta Utilities Commission, Alberta Electric System Operator and Alberta Environment & Parks. She has worked on some of the largest power projects in Alberta, as well as numerous power plants, substation, and transmission infrastructure. Her experience includes preparing high quality applications, ensuring compliance with all applicable rules and regulations, managing entire regulatory proceedings as well as witness and hearing preparations.
