David Jackson

Biography

David has been involved in commercial archaeology for over 18 years and has extensive experience in archaeological fieldwork, heritage services and consultancy. During this time, he has been involved in the successful delivery of numerous projects within various sectors throughout the UK, including housing developments, renewable energy schemes and large infrastructure projects.

David’s role involves the organisation and overall management of large complex projects and the organisation of a large team of staff. A major part of his role is ensuring that project targets are met, which is achieved through the effective control of programmes and budgets.

David’s other responsibilities include liaising with clients, contractors and planning authorities, tendering for projects, the production of WSI’s and Health & Safety Documents, and ensuring the efficient operation of fieldwork and post-excavation projects. David’s experience in field archaeology allows him to ensure that tight deadlines are achieved, and budgets preserved within the constraints of the archaeology sector.
