Biography
Andy Belton is a Chartered Waste Manager with over 23 years of consultancy experience in Geotechnical and Containment Engineering. He leads major civil and geotechnical engineering projects across both public and private sectors, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and delivering integrated on-site and off-site services.
Andy specialises in waste management and containment engineering, with a strong emphasis on design, construction supervision, and quality assurance. He has played a key role in large-scale containment projects worldwide, particularly in the landfill and mining industries. His expertise includes mineral lining systems and the specification and deployment of geosynthetic materials such as GCLs, geomembranes, geocomposites, and geotextiles.
Beyond containment, Andy brings extensive experience in geotechnical design, mining and quarrying, environmental risk assessment, site investigation, groundwater and hydrology, and contaminated land remediation
